Ege 180 points where to go. If the graduate did not score the required exam scores, is it possible to enter the institute

All about spotlights

In Russia, the USE 2018 campaign is coming to an end, and even the second wave of exams is coming to an end. However, checking exams takes time, and at the moment, graduates are waiting for the latest USE results of the first wave. Someone already now understands that they scored not enough points - much less than the student expected before passing the exams. Someone did not wait for all the results and is worried about what to do if there are not enough points. What if I didn’t get the required scores in the Unified State Examination, is it possible to enter the institute, what other options remain for the applicant in 2018.

What do you mean you didn't get the required points?

First of all, it is worth, of course, to figure out what “few points for the exam” are. Some of the graduates studied perfectly all their lives and hoped for at least 80-90 points for each exam, scored an average of 77 and believes that life is over. And someone generally failed the Russian language or mathematics and runs the risk of being left without a certificate of education as such, whether to go to college at all.

Two situations can be spoken of as a small catastrophe:

  • the student could not pass one of the mandatory exams (Russian language or mathematics) and runs the risk of being left without a document on education,
  • the student did not score the minimum scores for the USE, which were established by Rosobrnadzor (the table of minimum scores for each USE was on our website earlier).

The way out of the first situation is a retake. At the moment, those students who were unable to pass the mandatory USE in 2018 in the first wave know about it and even managed to retake the exams for the additional stage of the USE. The results of these exams will come on July 10-11.

If, based on the results of retaking the mandatory USE, the graduate gains enough points, and he has complete order with the USE results of his choice, you can try to enter a university in the same year. If the exams are failed again, retake is possible only in September. Of course, you can forget about the institute, at least in 2018.

If a graduate has successfully completed the mandatory USE, but one of the elective exams failed, and the number of points scored is below the minimum, you will not be able to enter the institute. Universities simply do not have the right to accept applicants if they provide USE results below minimum threshold from Rosobrnadzor. Even for paid education.

The first way out is to enter in a year

There is nothing wrong with this option. Retreating from the first small difficulty, forgoing higher education because of a minor setback, is not the best start to adulthood. Even if the student is used to the fact that everything goes to him easily and simply, it's time to learn to get what he wants.

A graduate needs to understand that a missed year is not scary at all. It is better to get a higher education diploma a year later than not to have it at all. Unless, of course, it's really that important.

What to do during this year - you decide according to the situation. Most likely, young people risk the army, and it will be a little easier for girls.

But the main thing to do this year, if you are not in the army, is to diligently prepare for the exam retake. The results of those exams that suit you will be valid for four years, so you can focus on a problematic subject, in which the USE was passed with too low scores.

Remember that graduates of previous years take the exam before the main wave - in the spring. So you will have less than one year to prepare.

The second way out is to enter the institute for a paid department

This is a way out for those who scored few points in the Unified State Examination, but still more than the minimum that closes the way to universities.

If all options with admission to the budget are impossible or uninteresting, enter the paid department. Of course, there must be financial opportunities for this. You may have to study and work at the same time.

The third way out is to get a secondary specialized education

This output is suitable for everyone. Even if you failed both mandatory exams and retake is impossible (and if you don’t pass two mandatory exams at once, the situation is just that), you can always use a certificate for the ninth grade.

With this certificate, you can enter a college, technical school or other secondary educational institution. We advise you to pay attention to colleges at universities. Quite often, these institute or university-affiliated colleges are the providers of applicants for them.

Whether the college or technical school works at the university or on its own, in any case, the road to the university after its completion is not closed to you.

Whatever situation you find yourself in and how hopeless it may seem to you, in fact, if you set yourself the goal of getting higher education, you will get it. And it is still unknown which university graduate will achieve greater success - an excellent student who is used to getting everything easy or one who has already learned to overcome life's difficulties by the time he receives his diploma.

In some specialties, they can be quite low. It can be a large number of state-funded places, a complex subject or a low competition for admission. Here are five areas of training in Russian universities, where passing scores are not very high.

- 265 points, - 239 points, - 191 points, - 174 points, - 170 points, - 167 points, - 164 points, - 155 points, - 144 points.

Ecology environment- a problem that worries many inhabitants of our planet. Every year, volunteers and activists of environmental movements organize various actions in hundreds of cities around the world, urging government officials to pay more attention to the issues of air purity, forest conservation and waste disposal. Without exaggeration, we have to wage a real struggle for the natural resources of the planet, because modern manufacturers, who are the main culprits of environmental pollution, often put their own benefit above all else and ignore the frightening forecasts of scientists. Fortunately, the efforts of hundreds of thousands of volunteers are not in vain - new decrees and orders are being signed obliging industrial magnates to use less toxic raw materials and more careful methods of processing materials. However, the issue of saving still remains in the main place - environmentally friendly production technologies are expensive, and the law applies to everyone without exception. This is where a specialist in ecology and nature management comes to the rescue. looking for the best options for the enterprise - profitable in terms of money, but within the law. This profession has become extremely popular in recent years, and therefore in many universities the number of places in the direction of "" began to grow, and the competitive selection became less rigid.

People who call themselves are quite rare these days.

This profession is not among those in demand, and in small towns there are no places at all where these specialists are required. Another thing is sociological education, which is received annually by hundreds of future specialists. The scope of its application is much wider: management, marketing, consulting. It has been proved that most often the holders of a sociological education cope with the tasks set better than the holders of qualifications, and, therefore, their demand among modern employers is extremely high. Not all applicants know about this, and when submitting documents, the direction is often undeservedly bypassed. As a result, we have low competition and low passing scores.

The knowledge that the school gives us is quite enough to have at least a rough idea of modern specialties. You know who you can work with after graduating from a university in the direction, etc. But in the case of the direction, much is not clear even to an adult, not to mention schoolchildren. We explain: there is a state body, the cadastral chamber (from the French Cadastre - list, register), which registers all land plots. His responsibilities include accounting for land, establishing boundaries on them and describing their location (all this combines the concept of "land management"). Hundreds of thousands of topographic plans are stored in the archives of the cadastral chamber - images of areas of the terrain that are compiled according to land management. This work is quite specific and requires special training of specialists, besides, apart from the state cadastral chamber, only a few private organizations are engaged in land management. The specialty is rare, and therefore unpopular, and the competition for it is small. However, those who graduated from the direction do not complain about unemployment - if you studied diligently at the university, you will be provided with a job after graduation.

Back in the 1990s, teachers technical universities argued: the future is none other than for. In some ways, they were right - in our days, knowledge and understanding of physical processes in the modern labor market is more in demand than the ability to recite the entire "Eugene Onegin" by heart. For this reason, the direction has become very popular among applicants, and one could assume that the low passing score of the USE was formed due to the large number of budget places and low competition among applicants. However, experts in the field of education see the tightening of the rules for conducting the exam in recent years as the true reason for this phenomenon. Applicants really began to come with lower scores - but, according to members of the selection committee, the exam results can be considered truly honest.

    Don't be discouraged if your passing score isn't too high. A successfully passed EPGE / OGE will help to enter the budget (or, in general, at least just to enter). And a certain number of points will even help to enter the budget!

    Where is it realistic / unrealistic to enter on the budget?

    The average USE score of those admitted to the budget will vary greatly depending on which university they enter.

    As a rule, the highest USE / OGE passing scores for admission to the budget are in the most prestigious universities in the country: St. Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow State University, MGIMO, HSE, etc. To get here, you will have to score at least 90 points.

    But applicants with a passing score of 80 may well qualify for a place in almost any other university. True, the minimum USE score for admission to the budget in each case needs to be found out separately, because it can depend not only on the university itself, but also on the specialty you are applying for.

    From 60 to 80 - these are the points needed to enter the budget in public educational institutions that are not top-notch, but nevertheless provide a very high level of education to their students.

    Another point that is important to pay attention to when raising the question of whether it is difficult to enter the budget is which city you are going to enter. Of course, the larger the city, the greater the competition. And this means that the requirements for the number (sum) of USE scores for admission to the budget will be higher than for less popular cities.

    Is it difficult to enter the budget: requirements for different specialties

    Choosing a university is not everything. To enter the budget, it is important to take into account not only the passing scores in a particular university, but also in a particular specialty.
    By the way! For our readers there is now a 10% discount on any kind of work

    And now, so that you can navigate and accurately calculate what chances you have to enter the budget, let's look at the main areas and begin to soberly assess our own strengths so as not to waste time.

    The “coolest” specialties: from 75 points

    So, here are the specialties and directions, without scoring at least 75 points, you can consider that you didn’t enter (what to do - we’ll say later):

    • Foreign languages;
    • International relationships;
    • Oriental and African studies;
    • Linguistics.

    Typically, the average score in these areas can vary between 80-82 points.

    A little less (75-80 points) will be needed for other equally popular destinations:

    • Philology,
    • Jurisprudence,
    • Political science,
    • Economy,
    • Literary creativity,
    • art theory,
    • Journalism,
    • Advertising and PR.

    Directions of average "coolness": 70-75 points

    What to do to enter the budget for specialties related to medicine, philosophy, nuclear physics or public services? You will have to score from 70 to 75 points.

    Here is a list of areas that require an average of this number of points:

    • healthcare,
    • Nuclear physics,
    • Municipal and state administration,
    • Information security and business informatics,
    • Publishing,
    • Story,
    • Design,
    • Cultural studies and philosophy.

    Standard directions: 65-70 points

    If you are often tormented by the thought “I’m afraid not to enter the budget!” - relax! There are always specialties that are easy to enter, and then it is not difficult to study. Another thing is that you can’t build a special career later, but this is already the tenth thing.

    So, here are the most massive areas, for admission to which you will have to score 65-70 points:

    • Pedagogy,
    • Management and personnel management,
    • Tourism, service, hospitality (service sector in general),
    • Psychology,
    • Chemistry,
    • Biotechnology,
    • Sociology,
    • religious studies,
    • Librarianship and archives.

    Availability of exact sciences: 60-65 points

    What are the chances of getting into the budget? Much more if you are a "techie" mindset, not a humanist

    Construction, engineering, geology and other exact sciences (natural sciences and physical and mathematical) require a great mind, but, oddly enough, less passing score.

    Here you can easily enter the budget in one of the following areas:

    • Biology and Ecology,
    • Physics,
    • Maths,
    • Construction,
    • Geodesy, geology, geography,
    • Space technology and aviation,
    • Computing and Informatics,
    • Automation and control,
    • Energy,
    • Oil and gas business,
    • Radio and electrical engineering.

    Easier than simple: up to 60 points

    If you did not manage to score more than 60 points, do not be discouraged - the fields of technology, transport and agriculture and the following areas are always open to you:

    • railway transport,
    • water transport management,
    • light industry and technology,
    • food industry and technology,
    • Materials Science,
    • engineering,
    • soil science,
    • printing and packaging,
    • agriculture and fisheries.

    Why get upset? In these areas, you (unlike many others) will be able to get real practical skills close to production. And despite the fact that such specialties do not shine with prestige, young specialists from such universities are always in demand and will always get a job, unlike newly minted philologists and art critics.

    And the most NOT in demand among young people are the following specialties:

    • metallurgy,
    • forestry,
    • marine technology.

    To become a state employee of these specialties, 52-55 points will be enough.

    In any case, you will first have to find out the number of required passing points, so as not to waste time and enter where you can go, taking into account the points you have scored. This can be done by analyzing the last year's situation. Usually this information doesn't change much over the course of a couple of years, so based on last year's entries, you'll get a pretty good picture of what's in store for you.

    You can find out the number of passing points from previous years on the websites of selected educational institutions. Usually everywhere there is an item "Admission Committee", where the average statistical data is published.

    However, even a low passing score does not prevent you from striving to score more points. So try to be smart about it. And so that nothing distracts you from your preparation (with a tutor, from lessons, self-study), contact us - you will be freed from the need to complete an urgent test, write an essay or even take an exam at school!

    And as a bonus - a short video with tips from an experienced person:

    On the budget in 2018 - another test. There is a lot of information on the Internet on this issue, it is on the websites of universities and other official sources. To help you understand, we have collected all the data in one article. in front of you step-by-step instruction, which will help assess your chances of free education.

    In Russia, the state pays for about 50% of places in universities

    Step 1. Studying how many free places there are

    Each state university is obliged to allocate places on a budgetary basis. The number of places in the free department depends on the popularity of the faculty and specialty. And you can get a budgetary higher education not only in Moscow universities. In some places, the number of free places reaches 1.5-2 thousand. For example, in Belgorod, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kirov, Rostov-on-Don, Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Chelyabinsk and other Russian cities.

    Step 2. Understanding the terms

    Consider the concepts without which it is difficult to assess your chances of admission:

    • the minimum threshold for USE scores;
    • the minimum number of points for admission;
    • passing score in universities.

    What is a threshold score?

    To get a certificate, you need to score a certain number of points in each subject. Here's how it was in 2017:

    • Russian language - 36 points;
    • mathematics - 27 points;
    • social science - 42 points;
    • computer science - 40 points;
    • foreign language- 22 points.

    For example, you have chosen a foreign language for passing the exam, then you need to score 36 points in Russian, 27 in mathematics and 22 in a foreign language - a total of 85 points. In theory, this is enough to apply to the university. But in practice, this is very little to enroll in a free department.

    What is the minimum score?

    Each university sets its own minimum number of USE scores for admission. Many technical schools are not ready to accept those who scored less than 50 points in mathematics. Humanitarian - put forward increased requirements for languages.

    What is a passing score

    The passing score depends on the results of the USE with which applicants were enrolled last year. Especially important is the result of the last lucky person who entered the budget with a minimum number of points.

    Example. 200 people wanted to enter, and there were 50 state-funded places. The student with the lowest result is considered to be passing. For example, with 150 points, while the rest had a higher score.

    The average USE score in 2017 is 68.2

    Step 3. Choose a university by passing score

    If you can figure out what score you will get on the USE, then it's time to choose the right university. By the way, trial exams help to assess your chances well.

    All universities with free places, they are also called budget institutions higher education, for convenience we will divide into three categories:

    • the most popular, or top;
    • medium;
    • unpopular.

    Typically, top universities put forward increased requirements, while the rest lower the bar to attract applicants. Let's look at the passing scores of universities in all three categories in 2017.

    If your GPA is above 85: passing scores in popular universities

    Conclusion. To enter top universities, the average USE score must be above 80-85. It’s hard to get into the number of such excellent students, do you agree? If you are unsure of good results, consider schools with less stringent requirements.

    If your GPA is between 65 and 80 points: passing scores in secondary universities

    Conclusion. With an average USE score of 65-80 in 2017, it was possible to enter budgetary and leading regional universities.

    If your GPA is 55-65 points: passing scores in unpopular universities

    Conclusion.If you score below 65 points, don't panic. Passing scores in many regional universities are below this bar. And today you can get a good higher education not only in the capitals.

    Step 4. Evaluate your chances by the number of points

    280-300 points- the best universities in the country, any specialty.

    200-250 points- popular universities, specialties: linguistics, foreign language, law, economics, management, health care, mathematics, physics.

    200 points- secondary universities, specialties: computer science and computer technology, pedagogy, chemistry and biotechnology, automation and control, electrical engineering, energy. Or leading regional universities, any specialty.

    150-200 points- secondary universities, specialties: geology, ecology, vehicles, agriculture and fisheries. Or unpopular universities, any specialty.

    Less than 150 points- unpopular universities, some specialties.

    Sometimes, even with a high score, you can not get into the cherished twenty, and with a low one, by a lucky chance, you can enter the desired university. The main thing is to use all the chances and do not forget about fallback options.
